Transit Insurance – Moving House

If you are moving house and using professional removalists, or even moving yourself you are able to insure your contents whilst they are in transit between the two homes.

There are various options on cover, and it will vary if you are packing and moving your contents yourself or if a removalist is packing and moving your goods.

If you are moving or packing your own goods you will be able to get cover for fire, flood, collision and overturning of the conveying vehicle.

If you are using a removalist you would be able to get a broader accidental damage cover.

Care needs to be taken if the contents are going to be placed in storage before delivery to your new address as it may not be automatically covered.
